I’m going to be buying a drill just not sure on what size for ice fishing I have a 6” nills it’ll be going on already have batteries just wondering what size dewalt to get thanks

I use a 20v hammer drill with a laser 6in auger... it's good for 75-100 holes 6 in of ice

No but was told cuz of hammer u get more torque on ur drill... but I could be wrong will test out tomorrow

Nope, make sure you don't have it in hammer mode, it'll be real rough on your Nils cutting head.

Lowest speed setting.

You're going to LOVE how it rips thru the ice. I have a 6 inch Nils with a 2804 Milwaukee and it's incredible. I drilled 50 holes last weekend through 4 inches of ice and didn't even lose a bar on my battery

When shopping you might be able to save a buck or two going for a non-hammer model with the same torque. The only thing I've ever use a hammer drill for was when drilling concrete. Luckily, I don't have to drill concrete regularly.

Just bought the 2804 kit, this month Milwaukee is offering a free battery, 3 batteries will be nice. just an FYI more torgue with the hammer drill.

Worked flawlessly drilled 70 holes almost the entire lake lol thanks for all the help oh fishing sucked only one crappie and few gills
