It's next year now! :)

The whitefish will be around, especially in Michigan City, for at least another month. Typically I catch them into the first week of April, and it's looking like there might be cold water around for quite a while given the forecast right now. Maybe even til mid April

I like fishing skein on the bottom for them (or small perch minnows) in the spring, because you will catch browns and cohos as well as the whitefish.

I have actually caught more whities in the spring than fall in MC, but admittedly I have not spent tons of effort targeting them in the fall.

Last spring they were really dialed in on pieces of crawlers for a couple days. Guy got one next to me last Friday on shrimp.
