Headed out to the flats to try for perch after the big new years blows.  I tried Friday but the lake was really churned up, no bites. Today there was lots of chunk ice floating around. No real jumbos in today’s limit, but all nice size. Great way to finish up the holiday weeks, given the extra days off to relax. Other people I talked to didn’t have much luck. Also a huge thanks to the two guys who helped me with my boat issue at the ramp.  I wouldn’t have been able to fish without you guys!

Haha.  Just your average cold weather issues while fishing open water in January!  Be safe out there and check your equipment before every outing. Tight lines
