Yes it is good to have friends with more big lake experience.

Hoping to go out of portage in the morning. Going to try and stay in close and see what happens. I'll be on 68 reel me in.

I ended up launching out of pastrick since it is closer and saved me $10. Got out but the waves were too bad to even think about trolling - with only a big engine I was going from like 1.5 to over 3 mph. By the time i was to the Gary light the waves appeared to still be building so I turned the boat around and headed to Buffington and did a little bass fishing. Got 4 small bass so not skunk at least.
I heard I think it was King Seeker was getting fish I think he said @ 4 MPH at the ball. Whoever he was talking to said as soon as they sped up they had one on. I turned off the radio shorty after that to get the antenna out of my way for casting.

We made it out of portage. Fished in close for a while. Marked a lot of bait and fish but none interested in our offerings. Went out to 60 fow and nothing there. Waves were not too bad and got calmer through the morning. Beautiful day and a nice boat ride. Got all my flys and spoons nice and clean in the process lol.
