TOPIC:

Got out this afternoon with 4-Shore and 2 buddies from work around 1 pm and headed out towards the 52N 23W numbers. Set lines around 1:30 and headed north. Marked tons of bait fish and started picking up a few steelies pretty soon afterwards. Seemed like every line took a fish - 5 colors, 7 colors, dipseys (1 setting out 90') and riggers set down around 40-45'. Almost all fish came on a smattering of magnum spoons, everything from NBK's to Green Dolphin to my recent favorite Flounder Pounder. Caught a 13.5 pound brown on an 11' Flasher w/ white fly. Ended up 16 for at least 20. Released 3 smaller and very healthy looking wild Kings. Think the total kept was 7 steel, 1 coho, 1 brown and 4 kings. Biggest king being around 8.5 pounds. All in all a great day on the water. Bring on the cedar plank salmon!

Thanks guys. My first productive afternoon outing of the year. Noah, it's about 15 miles from East Chicago.

That's out of my comfort zone birddog but thanks anyway gonna have to stick close to shore tomorrow
