Performance:
When the need for low-speed maneuvering arises, like in docking or loading the boat on the trailer, fly-by-wire gives the captain more control – and who doesn’t need that in a tricky wind or current? Mercury's docking mode gives a choice of 50-percent power reduction while maintaining full throw of the throttles. That gives you a lot of confidence at the dock!
Trolling mode is another practical function available with digital controls. With this option selected, the engines can be fine-tuned in small rpm increments to set and maintain the optimum trolling speed. We all know that a small change in trolling speed can mean the difference between an average fishing day and an epic one!
