Hey guys. Looking to switch my lead core & copper lines from mono backing to braid. I am thinking about removing 200 ft. of mono backing and replacing it with 150 ft. of braid.
If you guys have any suggestions on what is a good brand of braid and what gauge I should use, it would be appreciated. I am doing this to get my boards up farther so I have better separation and be able to make tighter turns.

40-50lb power pro. Use a Willies Knot of the connection to leadcore. Use a 50lb size 8 Spro swivel with a connection to copper, that makes everything way easier.

Can even use different color power pro in case of a tangle.

Hey Steve....I use 30lb power pro on my dipsey reels, and I am happy with it.

I use 50lb powerpro for backing. I generally use suffix 832 leadcore so I tie with a double uni knot and it works great.
