Wondering what the best rigs are for staging Kings. I know plugs are a good go to, but wondering if flasher/rotator - fly combos and meat rigs are still hot and what color combos people have good success with. Any particular spoon sizes and colors that people use?

As far as deployment, what seems to hit most? Riggers, divers, leadcore? I'm just looking for a couple of solid setups to try out. Cold water is moving in to Michigan City again, so I'm guessing there will be some staging fish showing up pretty quickly.

Spoons and plugs IMO. Never had much luck with flashers in tight. I am sure everyone has different experiences nad hopefully you get some goo responses.

I like bigger body baits. J-13s, j-plugs and stuck baits. Almost always in some some shade of green and firetiger. It doesn't hurt to run a spin doctor, meat rigs and spoons so all of your eggs are not in one basket and they all have caught fish in close.

My two kings this year were on mag moonshine spoons happy meal and the orange and green flounder pounder rv. And a drive by on a maglip 3.5 yellow tail 80 behind a board. Ed put on a monster walleye trolling a custom painted j13. Hope this helps
