Last spring, I purchased some flash mylar to tie up my own peanut flies and it was a lot thinner than the mylar on the couple store-bough flies I had left. It worked great, but I'd like to add some thicker material to my box.

What size mylar/flash do you use for your peanut flies? Where have you found the best availability and price?

thx!

I'm not sure it really matters what your using. I've looked at a lot of them hanging in the stores and on line. Many use a number of different types of material. I have made tons over the years. Some work great, others never get bit. So go figure. Is it the material or the day? I'll put a couple pics of some I put together for this season. It's more a trial & error thing for me. These are a small part of what I've put together for the new season. I've stopped the flies for now and have started painting & tapping spoons now. Then on to body baits. I'll be sure to post some pics of them also.

Check out Purple Taco for one source of good quality material and a wide assortment of colors.
