I have been using 10lb standard cannon balls........but this winter I got these new fangled 12lb torpedo's. I am anxious to see how they do. Their size is kind of ridiculous.

I use 10lb balls especially when fishing offshore, because they wont wash back as much when you have them down 70 feet or more. Near shore I use 8 lb. Just easier to deal with.

I found my 10's to have quite a bit of blow back in the deep water. When the counter / sonar said 80', they were more like 60-65' based on my calculations using cable angle. This is of course speed and current dependent.

If you want to make some of these, let me know and I'll reveal the secret to pouring lead into the can without burning the paint off the can.

I like the fish to have a choice so I have one lite beer, one real beer, a diet pop and sugar-filled. I used to sell these on eBay and by far, regular coke and bud light were the top sellers.
