Oh no, my box latch just broke! What am I going to do now with it? Well if you use Plano products to store your gear in compartmentalized boxes as I do don't sweat it. The good people at Plano will take of it for you. I don't break many latches but I did recently and they took care of the issue free of charge. Give the customer service a call and give them the model number of the box and they take care of the rest. My deep stowaway broke a latch and they replaced it with 3 matching red ones because they were out of black ones at the time so could match them up if I choose. I will just wait till I break another latch. ONE THING TO KEEP IN MIND when buying stuff these days, you can always buy cheaper competing stuff but great customer service is both rare and invaluable at times.

Well it seems more people are aware of Plano's service than I thought. Good to know that also. Still I thought it to be a good tip to try to pass along. I could see people throwing boxes away when they are really repairable.

I see you do what I do. Keep the "paperwork" needed to comply with state and federal regulations in a single, waterproof container. I'm a Plano fan and have been for years. The only thing I ask is how in the world did you break it. I had a Plano box broken by a trained gorilla who worked as a Southwest Airlines baggage handler once. I had one which was about 30 years old finally get brittle from UV deterioration. Plano replaced that one for free.

I know you don’t know me well but if you did you would see that it is possible for me to break up an anvil.

Actually I have the box loaded fully.I probably had something binding up things and overloaded it on that end of the box and stressed it too much.
