No fishing has made me bored and inventing things to do. Since I like to tinker and try to improve on things that  aren’t really needing fixing I had this thought about adding some UV flash to some Deep Walleye Bandits. I bought some blue/clear sheets of UV adhesive film and cut out some elipse shaped pieces and stuck them on the Bandits. They look great but, I wonder if they will be better fish catchers. Anyone else ever try to do something like this? Have any luck with it? I am hoping to get one more trip in to Erie to find out. Here is a pic.

I use it occasionally on spoons over white or glow paint and Moonshine uses clear UV tape on their RV series. Fluorescent paints are UV reactive out of the bottle so I don't normally use it over bright colored baits.  Walleyes attack from the side so adding a kill spot might make them better.

No, no contest fishing just going for some nice perch and walleyes for the freezer. I need a few days of good weather to lineup before I make that 400 mile trip up there though. Boat is almost ready to go just needs a few things put in and a cooler packed.
You are right about the blue/chrome bandits not needing help but even vanilla ice cream is better with chocolate syrup. I thought with all the crank baits those fish see a little more shine maybe will cause more interest in my lures. One thing about it is the tape is as easy to get off as it was to put on if it doesn’t seem to work.

I've never tried the clear UV tape on any stick baits. But lots of it on spoons. It does seem to help the flash & they do catch fish. So I don't see why they wouldn't work on walleyes.
