Great day of fishing today, numbers and size. Spawn sacs and skein under a bobber was automatic where I could get it past the smolts. Plugs held their own though. the fish are in peak condition right now hens I caught were all still tight and bright. Bucks are all decked out in war paint getting ready for battle. I wish I could have gotten more pictures, but its tough solo. Big fish was just shy of the first first guide on my 9.5 footer. I taped measured it at 35 inches when I got home. the fish was an absolute tank, had to be very close to 20. I know I hooked him a couple weeks ago and was second guessing how big I thought it was. I was very very close to putting this beast on my wall. If you got a chance, I;d highly recommend getting out.

Very nice! Color me jealous.

If you don't mind my asking, what river or body of water were you fishing?

I was fishing one of the creeks. We were supposed to go to the Joe but my buddy was having problems with his truck. There's fish in all the creeks right now, probably peak numbers with the holdover skamanias just starting to move onto the beds and plenty of fresh run manistees in the mix. This weekend should be pretty good fishing. Too bad I start a long string of 12hr midnights tonight...
