I dont think you will get much in the way of advice because not many walleye are caught, and those who know how to bag em probably wont talk lol. The time to fish for them is November through March and thats about all I know.

It is hard to find them. They are there, not many in numbers but they are there. I can tell you were some have been caught. There were some taken inside of burnsditch area. Under the route 12 bridge sometimes. On the lake out of portage, around the port. Cannot fish inside the port anymore, so as close to as you can get to the mouth area and along the reef. The port is probably the strongest holding area. All winter there are nice walleye taken by the folks that can fish the discharge. Have to be a mill employe for that.
Michigan City does get some around the government pier, and toward the river mouth area, late fall is when they get them there. There are a few spots to the west but I think you can see its going to be tuff. Good Luck!
