Reports have either been poor or non-existent as far as kings on the south end lately. Thought I'd take a chance for an early a.m. trip to Burns ditch. Got out at 4 a.m. casting just outside the ditch. Didn't see another boat until about 6 a.m. . He must have been a good omen as I caught a king 10 minutes later. No giant but he looks like good eating. eventually the rest of the fishermen showed up and I did see one other fish caught by someone trolling out of the mouth of the ditch. Gave it up and went home by 7:30 as my son needed to go to work in this afternoon. Tight lines and tasty critters to all!

Good work! Hard to tell - but looks like it might be a coho.
Boatless!
