There was a fair number of fish porpoising on the surface around the discharge of the ditch. Heard some overnight but of course difficult to see but once it was daylight there was a good amount of activity immediately before and immediately after sunrise. Once all the boats showed up with the boat traffic coming out of the ditch it slowed dramatically. After cleaning this fish I have some question ask you whether or not it is a brown trout. Chock full of eggs.. is that even likely? Still a little new to fishing lake Michigan and the wonderful critters that live there.

Can't see all the "important" markers but it's not a brown trout and is a salmon. I'd say from what I see it's a coho. The biggest indicator on the fish in the photo is it still has its adepois fin which would mean if it's a king, it's naturally reproduced, but since there's no wild fish in Burns, slim chance. It's the right size for a spawning coho and has the right overall look. Good going!
