Went out of MC Saturday 8/15. Started at 7:00 am in 140 FOW. 50 degree water was 85 feet down and tough fishing. I wasn’t targeting Lakers but got 4. Had one rip on a 225 copper that could have been silver or lake. Got one Steelhead on a 400 copper and it had some issues. Real skinney with a large head. Must have been sick. At the cleaning station very few silver. So with no stocking returns to our creeks is it safe to say the silver will be staging for the run and it’s over for us minus a few stragglers? Feels that way.

I would say the fish coming in, cohos primarly in portage with some random steelies coming in will be the best bet for silver from Indiana harbors. You could go even farther along one of the coasts for an increased chance too.
