I was finally able to get my 2021 Angler Qwest 822 center console into the water for her maiden voyage. Launched at Pastrick marina and headed to the mouth of the river for some perch action. It was a good test for this Tritoons ability. Once out to the third light the wind were churning it up pretty good, 2-3ft whitecaps. Nothing like trial by fire. I first tried to drive this boat like my last rig, by trimming it up aggressively and this was not the way to do it on this boat, i found myself really pounding the waves. After i figured out the trim sweet spot it all came together nicely. Let me tell you not only can i go out in snotty water but once i get there the platform is so stable and spacious to fish from, I was really impressed. The perch didn't cooperate so i headed over to the opening in the breakwall, hit spotlock on the Terrova and jigged for some lakers. I had one taker so no first day skunk.
All in all i I am pretty pleased. I do have to reprop, was only seeing 5600 with the solas 4 blade 19p aluminum. I did get it to 38 mph wot with the my Yamaha f150. Pretty much the same performance speed wise as my old Baron. I'll post some pics and be glad to answer any questions if I can

Sweet rig. My dad has been looking at possibly getting one for our lake erie walleye adventures. Love the open deck format for trolling.

Thank you. I can't wait to get out on Erie myself. Having 6 foot tracks and removable pedestal seating in the back makes it great for trolling. Having the center console also let's you jig around the entire perimeter too, love the versatility.
If your dad plans on getting one I recommend maxing the hp, I have the 150 instead of the 200 because i brought my 150 over and my performance numbers are above, I would love to see what a 200hp vmax sho could do for this boat.
In about 5 years I'll make it happen.

Thanks buddy, got some fine tuning to do but I am very pleased with it.
Good luck, I couldn't find them Monday, none of the 20 boats pulled one in when i was there. Going to try again Saturday, probably last time out for me.

Good looking rig. Maybe you will start a new trend in trolling rigs.

Thanks,Webster3 was running one last year on the south end , I think i doubled the fleet count. Lol. Maybe we will start a trend. I do know that these Angler Qwest rigs are not your grandpas pontoons. They really are well equipped for the great lakes
