Bad reports are just as informative as good reports so here we go. Fished 2pm to 7pm 40 to 50 fow from the ditch to Gary and back. Marked a ton of bait ran a 11 rod spread of 8, 7, 6, 5 color 2 flat lines, 2 divers, 3 riggers. Went 0 for 2 on kings. 1 came on a 7 and the other on a 5 color. Had one to the boat and he decided to dive under the boat and came up wrapped in my port rigger and proceeded to break off, I watched him swim away with the spoon. The other didn't even get a chance to get the board off. 

Beautiful evening none the less. Fishing was less than desirable though.

How was the water temp Tim?  Glad the bait is still around.  Seems like the bulk of the Lakers moved out.

Yeah 50 seems to be the number when the Lakers evacuate.  If the bait stays there is hope for some
more nearshore silver being optimistic.

My son and I were out from 4 - 8 pm .... We went to the Gary Light and fished in 40 - 50 FOW.  Marked several bait balls and alot of fish but couldn't get anything to bite.  We ran a 6 rod spread - 2 downriggers, 2 dipseys and 2 yellowbirds... It was a beautiful night on the lake... (Oh well we'll get em next time)... Planning on going out again next weekend....

Couldn't believe all the bait there, but same as you, no takers. 

Wow, well I suddenly feel better. I was distraught at only 2. Glad to hear it wasn't only me having a tough time.
