Fished solo this morning. Ran to 70' north east of portage and fished past the state line to 90. Best depth was 80', 2.5-2.8 s.o.g. Started at 6:45 a.m. and had 3 nice fat coho in the boat by 7:30 and everything shut- down. Riggers, dipseys, sliders were silent and spent the next 2 hours washing lures. All hits came on 150 copper with oo orange dodger and blue/silver 3" home made fly. This fly looks like sh...t., but they still catch plenty of coho- just keep adding more tinsel. Very few bait marks and fish for that matter. Beautiful day to be out- nearly flat lake. The flies were annoying but not biting. Tried for perch on the way back - decided to start at M.C. was half way there anyways. Started about a mile west of baileys and worked west. At least 10 boats in the general area and marked perch in the 30' and 20-22' range, but couldn't get them to go... ended with 1 perch in 2 hours. It should'nt be much longer on the perch- hopefully get out next week and give it another shot. Fish-on Nick.
