The "donut" is the water intake for Nipsco's Bailley Generating Station. it is a "general area" when people talk about it but it is a circular shape. Here is a quick map edit to show you - you can see a circular shape just below the word donut.

Got down to Gary later than most. Ended up with 7 and only 3 were keepers. Some were pretty darn small. one at 8 inches and another at 10 inches. Caught fish on 2 1/2 color, and 4 color lead, down rigger at 16 down.Nothing up high. Best color was Tequila Sunrise on thinfins and f-11. Found one fish had stomach contents- gobies.

Is it on the website's map along with the gps coordinates? I have heard of it and I think I saw it in a google earth tour of the area. A large rock ring with a steel bar grating off shore a short distance near a hot water discharge. It looks to function as a intake or overflow for one of the factories.

I remember hearing on the radio - "they keep getting smaller bob" - not sure if that was you or not split. It gave me a good long chuckle in a rather uneventful day. Either way, it looks like I should have taken part in the combat. We really didnt mark much out east.

Yep, That was my fishing buddy Ugly 3 calling that out,. He let me reel them in and if you put 2 together you had 1 nice one at 18 inches.
We followed Bob around and caught what he left as scraps.

Still felt good to get out. Bob after you left it had pretty well shut off and it really got cold again. Starting to get good at dodging icebergs.

Haha... You are not kidding about the icebergs. You really had to be on your toes. After that barge went by it scattered the ice all over. Near the lighthouse anyway. It did feel good to be out.

Nice job everyone! Sounds like 2015 is off to a decent start and eveeyone is being safe. You guys are making me jealous though! I've been trying to get my fishing fix through you guys..just not the same. Hoping to splash the boat next weekend as there is still a lot of ice around the Joe.
