Talked to the DNR - they may show up to the Portage weigh in for sampling depending on schedule load.

I'm fishin with dirtyx as Co captain at st. Joe tourney on his boat. I hope to see and meet much of our south end friends. Drinks would be great and I hope all limit in first 2 hours. Lol. Fisherman from the St. Joe area give good ideas for restaurant recommendations for food and drink. Sadly my Lund will be parked for this event. Weather does not seem to be in our favor but time will tell.

Schus downtown is hard to be along with clementines right on the river. 2 really good ones.

Just a reminder that the St. Joe Summer Open Tournament is fast approaching (Aug 29th). If you are teetering on whether to fish it or not, come on out and have a good time! As of now, the weather is looking like it is holding up enough to have a successful Saturday tournament. One thing to keep in mind is that you do not have to go very far from shore out of St. Joe to hit 100' of water. This makes life much easier than going out of EC, Portage, or MI City.

We will have the captains meeting and weigh in at the Eagle Point Harbor fish cleaning station. This is very easy to get to - two turns off of 94 - one is the exit to Niles Ave (63), and the other is into the Harbor. This fish cleaning station is right there.

For trailer-ed boats, we will plan to meet at the captains meeting at the Harbor with boats on trailers. After the meeting we can all drive over the the DNR ramp and head out. Else you can launch your boat the day before and get a transient slip in the harbor at a reduced rate if you wish.

Come on out and see St. Joe - its going to be alot of fun.
