Dirtyx and I leaving early. I hope to meet more than three boats. For me I see winter closing in and spawning the ice fishing season. For some this is depression at its best but for others well let's just say winter perch time. If we get a low turnout then so be it, I look forward to meeting some more south end friends.

Hopefully turnout will be good like portage

St. Joe Tourny is complete. It was rainy all day plus there was another tournament going on run by Tackle Haven so we had all of three boats unfortunately. We ended up with 4 Kings, 2 Lakers, and Coho all caught between 80 & 90 FOW. Took the most hits on a FF 75 down.

We got a king with a 2' Lamprey attached. A few pics here but more at the tournament page:

I have to say what a great day it was fishing. Besides being rained on all day and being soaking wet and cold. And Jeff ,Tim, and I are a good working team. And I thought we did great for fishing away from our home port. And the kicker was getting to see a lamprey up close and personal lol. Glad to see 2 other teams ruff out the weather with us and all in all I think it was great. Can't wait till next week.!!!

I have never seen a lamprey that big before. We have pulled in 3 that were hanging on when netted, but nothing that big!!!!!!
