Was wondering how many of you head over to lake Erie for the walleye fishing. Were do you put in at, and were do you stay?

When we can make it over there we go to Monroe, Mi. and stay at the Red Roof Inn. It is close to Sterling Park with a nice ramp and a fish cleaning station. Plus a local bait shop all on the way to the ramp, hotel, bait shop & ramp all within 2 miles or less. Rudey

Thanks Rudey,
never fished that area before, always Ohio. Is the Michigan side good thru summer or better in spring time?

Spring time is the best, but a lot of the boats that launch out of there run over to the Ohio side. Rudey

We stayed at the Surf Motel in Marblehead last June. There's a launch and Bait shop just a couple miles West of there.

Thanks Ben,
we fished around there in may, took some nice fish south of Kellys Island. What do you feel are some of your best baits at that time of year?

That was the first I went out there in June. The Highway Bait and Tackle hooked us up with crawler harnesses. "Antifreeze" green was the hot color at the time. We also picked up a few on small spoons.

I'm going the first full week of June and staying on Put-In-Bay. I went last year as A guest on a friends boat and it was awesome. Bringing my boat and crew this year and hope fishing is as good as last.

Heading to Erie this Saturday and staying until Wednesday. Hope to have some good pics to share when I return. I think it has to be better than our Salmon Fishing has been lately.
